Garrett, unfortunately, lost his arbitration case today to the Pirates and will, therefore, make $2.25M in 2012. However, since this is all out of the way now, it also means the start of a brand new baseball season. Spring Training begins this weekend for the Pirates in Bradenton, Florida, with pitchers and catchers reporting and full-squad workouts next week. The home opener against the Philadelphia Phillies at PNC Park is exactly 7 weeks from today on April 5 at 1:35 p.m. (mark your calendars!)
